I help finance leaders build a clear AI roadmap, coach their teams through the change, and integrate the tools into how work actually gets done. Almost 20 years in corporate finance, now helping teams implement AI after learning it firsthand at a leading frontier AI lab.
Start with a half-day AI Workshop for your team, on your own real work. Then a light roadmap and hands-on setup. Your team leaves able to do the boring parts faster.
Most finance organizations have a few people experimenting on their own, a policy that says what not to do, and no clear plan for what to do. Meanwhile, close calendars, forecast cycles, and board decks don't pause.
That bridge between the tools and the work is what I build.
People use different tools in different ways, with no shared standard or measurable result.
Leaders aren't sure what data can safely go where, so adoption stalls or goes underground.
Intro courses don't speak the language of variance analysis, accruals, or driver-based forecasts.
IT owns the tools, finance owns the work, and nobody owns the bridge between them.
I don't promise a number up front. In a Roadmap, we look for value in four places.
Manual reporting, reconciliations, spend analysis, sourcing, and freight are where AI can return hours and dollars.
What would cutting costs by 5% mean for your business? 10%? 25%?
Pricing studies, new-market analysis, M&A screening. Initiatives delayed by bandwidth that AI can now help you explore quickly.
That idea that's been on the list for two years. We bring it to a working prototype.
Combine data you already have into a new metric or an early warning signal.
The Roadmap tells you which of these matters most for your business, and what it's worth.
Book a 20-minute conversation →Each step can be bought on its own, and each leads naturally into the next.
A 90-minute session for a CFO or leadership team: what frontier AI can and can't do for finance today, where to start, and the questions to ask before investing. A low-risk way to decide whether a Roadmap makes sense.
New tools only pay off when people are comfortable using them, so change management is built in.
Most teams point AI at one spreadsheet at a time. We connect the steps, so each month's close sharpens the next forecast.
A rolling view with scenarios, sensitivities, and early risk flags.
Accruals, reconciliations, and the close checklist, handled with less chasing.
The management pack, dashboards, and a written variance narrative.
Root causes turned into clear owners and dates.
Closed actuals update the drivers, and the loop starts again.
Once the monthly loop runs, we extend it to your annual budget and long-range plan, built on the same drivers and data.
Every month starts better briefed than the last.
Be better prepared for ad-hoc analysis or scenario modeling.
I've spent my career inside corporate finance: budgets, forecasts, closes, ERP rollouts, and two major pharmaceutical integrations. These are common starting points.
Every use case keeps a person in the review loop. AI drafts. Your team decides.
Cost base, forecast accuracy, close speed, headcount leverage
A credible finance operator and a low-risk first step.
Manual reporting, variance analysis, close timeline, ad-hoc requests
Hours back each week, from someone who has run FP&A.
Governance, security, ERP and BI integration, shadow AI
A business-side partner who works with IT, not around it.
Sourcing, freight, inventory, S&OP
Efficiency gains and better use of the operational data you already collect.
I'm Nick Leiting. I've spent almost 20 years in finance, most recently as Director of FP&A, R&D at a Fortune 300 pharmaceutical company, where I was the finance partner to the Regulatory, Clinical, and Safety functions. I led a team of 25+ through planning and forecasting for an R&D budget of ~$400M.
I spent many years in corporate leadership roles, leading teams through change. That included integration and implementation work through two major integrations at Fortune 300 pharmaceutical companies, along with new planning structures, reporting systems, and the training that made them stick.
Since March 2026, I've worked under contract with a leading frontier AI lab as an AI Finance Expert and AI Tutor. I train AI models on corporate finance through prompting, labeling, and annotation, and I create and curate realistic finance scenarios across FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, capital structure decisions, investor communications, and earnings call preparation. Along the way, I use Claude, Grok, and ChatGPT to reduce finance-process timelines.
I'm also a Certified Professional Life Coach through Transformation Academy, and that training shapes how I work with teams. In my experience, AI adoption is less about the technology and more about helping people get comfortable with something new. I'm at home coaching people through unfamiliar territory, explaining things plainly, and meeting each person where they are.
And I practice what I recommend. I run my own team of personal AI agents day to day. When I suggest a workflow, it's because I've seen what holds up in real use.

Your priorities, your team, and an honest read on fit. No pitch deck.
Optional. A 90-minute session to align leadership.
About 3 to 4 weeks. Interviews, workflow review, and a ranked, valued plan.
Workshops, coaching, and office hours, so people adopt the new tools comfortably.
Build, integrate, govern, and measure.
You can stop after any step. The Roadmap stands on its own.
Your policies come first. I work within your IT and security standards and alongside your IT team, favor enterprise-grade tools whose terms keep your data out of model training, and help define what can and can't be used with AI. Happy to sign an NDA.
It depends on scope. The AI Opportunity Roadmap is a fixed-scope engagement, quoted after our first conversation. Team Enablement and Implementation Partner work are scoped from the Roadmap, as a project or a monthly retainer, so you pay for what's actually needed.
No. The aim is leverage: taking repetitive work off your team's plate so they can spend more time on analysis, business partnering, and the projects that keep getting deferred.
Start with a 20-minute conversation. Bring your questions and I'll give you an honest read on where AI could help first, and whether I'm the right fit.
